Batteries for red dot scopes
« on: August 23, 2007, 03:48:09 PM »
I decided I needed to pick up some extra batteries for my red dots today. They are different manufacturers so I expect them to have different size batteries. What I found was very confusing. One used a 2032 and the other a 2025 series battery. Both batteries are the same diameter, same thickness and both are 3 volts. There is no amp rating on either battery or the packaging of the new ones. So just what the heck is the difference between them and can I interchange them between scopes. The only difference I can see on the new ones is on the packaging. The 2025 says "Security" on the front and the 2032 says "Medical" on the front.

Any thoughts on this would certainly be helpful.

Ohhh, so many guns and so little time to buy them.  :)

Every red dot that I have checked used the 2032.  I'd do some google'n and see if they change freely, IE- just a rating or something.
FWIW,
