I don't know what it's like in the rest of the State, but here in Southwestern Pennsylvania, the summer of 2007 needs to be dubbed as the "year of the Raccoon". I say this because I've seen more roadkill raccoon's this year than the last 5 years combined. Usually it's the groundhog that's the king of the roadside suntan bloat, but the 'hog's can't even hold a candle to the raccoon's this summer.
The guy's at my gun club have said the same thing. It's like every mile there's a dead raccoon on the road. Must have been a good spring breeding?
Is it like this in other areas of Pa?
