1.  TC Encore
2.  TC Omega

These two are tops in quality and accuracy......IMHO.

They work for me.

Don't overlook the new Knight KRB Rolling Block. Can be had for $302 online delivered in stainless with synthetic stock. Does not use the Knight plastic carrier. Just drop a 209 primer in the rolling block and close. It also positively extracts the spent primer. Easier to clean than my Omega.

IMO the Omega is hard to beat. My Z5 is shooting 3/4" groups @ 100 yards with 250 gr. Shockwaves and 3 T7 pellets. Topped with the Nikon Omega BDC scope its hard to beat.

BassPro Shop has the Knight Wolverine for $200.00.  It's an American made rifle with a Green Mountain barrel.  It comes with everything needed to shoot it but powder and primers.  This is a fantastic rifle at a fantastic price.

Just don't buy a Spanish made gun.

Here's a pic.

After shooting my Savage, I would have to add it to my list of M/L's to buy. But I still have, use and recommend the Encore Pro-hunter

You might want to check your laws, but I know some States say single barrel muzzleloaders.

In FL a double barreled muzzleloader has to be at least .62 caliber.

i won't be buying one to hunt with if i did. it weighs too much for me and it looks a little bulky but it may be a option for someone

They may have that guarantee, but I doubt you can just pick up any load and bullet and shoot 2 inch groups. All guns shoot differently and you have to find what your gun likes, not what you like.
You can't give a Knight away to the guys I hunt with. Knight and I have parted ways over 6 years ago and I doubt I will ever own another one.

I've never seen an inline that wouldn't shoot a -2" group at 100 yards with just about any reasonable charge and sabot.  That includes some that cost me less than $100.00.  The quality of the Knight is so much nicer than the all the others (inc. T/Cs)I've owned and examined that I'm really glad I bought it.

Thats a fact, and ya one  has to find out what a gun likes best. But one also has to have a gun that is able to do the job.And there are alot of these guns out there that simplly can not be made to hit any where near where they are aim at no matter what load is use.I have own 2 =TC Black Diamond's that were just pure junk. One was so bad i just gave it away and the other was so i could hit a 2 foot piece of plywood @ 50 yards.Like i said i have waste alot of money and time Bullets and Powder trying to get some of these so call good guns to act right that simplly can not.My money goes to the Knight, where shooting it is fun and not heart acke

DaFox, I have owned 6 Encore M/L's, everyone of them shot 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. I have 4 buddies that now own 5 of the 6 I have owned and they love there Encores. I took the time to set up each Encore with a good scope, either Nikon Omega or Leupold's. I found a load and bullet combination that made them guns shoot like a dream.

I got an Omega M/L from a buddy that said it would not shoot worth a darn, I found a bullet it liked and shot 1 1/2 inch groups with it and he bought it back, and still uses it tell today. Some guns just need more time and effort from the shooter. That is the main reason a lot of guys complain that they have bad shooting guns, just to lazy to put the time in at the range. That is just my opinion.

Have a  Winchester that shoots under an inch @ 100, cva staghorn that shoots just a little over an inch @ 100, have a sidelock that shoots under an inch @ 100. " Conicals"
That sidelock prints 4" groups  @ 200 yards also. That rifle just keeps amazing me the more i shoot it.

Doesnt matter what brand you have. All companies out there put out accurate shooting muzzleloaders.

There are other factors as to why I don't care for other muzzleloaders. To me a CVA seems cheaply made, the Knights are not as good as they once were many years ago. Everyone has there reasons why we like and dislike things. We all have some kind of loyalty to our brand. In my opinion the Encore is on the top of the game and I am entitled to that opinion, I am also starting to love my Savage, but the Encore will always be my favorite.

Redhawk1,i am glad that you love your Encore's.I too Love TC.Guns,i have own 8=TC 54cal Hawken's in my time and they all shot great. But the 2 Black Diamonds that i have own, shot not much better than the Cheap CVA's that i i have own ,infact one TC Black Diamond was so bad i gave it to a friend.I am not new by any means to a Gun or Black Powder guns,I have been shooting black powder guns ever since the early 70's.If you like your Encore that is GREAT.But for me the gun is to ugly and cost to much for what it is and the fact that you can change barrels is not a plus because the barrels are way to high to boot just for making it a single barrel centerfire rifle. This is my opinion and every one has one.

You can get a high quality Bergara Barrel for around $170.  I just dont need a $500+  muzzleloader.

I have got my encore 45cal shooting 3/4 of an inch at 125 yards off a bench, off hand around a inch. The only upgrade other than scope is the thumbhole stock. My encore will be #1 when muzzle loader seaon comes in. I have a couple older knights that shoot very well at 125 yards. They both shoot 1inch at that range and i am sure i could make them as small as the encore. To get my encore to shoot that good it took me about a year to find the load, it likes 195grain areo tip power belts and 100 grains of triple seven

You can get a Knight Wolverine with everything you need to shoot it for $199.95.  It comes with a Green Mountain barrel that's worth more than the price of the complete rifle and accessories.

Knight wolverine also takes longer to clean and you can not swap barrels. Wolverine is an out of date rifle.

You can pick up a brand new knigh rolling block for a little over $300 and that IMO is a better deal.

I just bought a KRB7 (Knight stainless Rolling block) for $301.62 delivered. Not sure what the quality of Knight used to be if it has dropped; as my Rolling Block is tops in quality of build, has a great trigger and the stock is much more solid than my Omega that cost $100 more. The fit and finish it as good as any of the expensive rifles I have. I wanted to scope mine and since it was pretty new to market I could not find mounts called out so I contacted Knight customer service. They responded immediately with their mount availability and a list of other manufacturers mounts that would work. Sure can't fault Knight customer service yet. I think I might just like it more than my Omega and possibly even close to my Whites.  Need to do more shooting before I make the final decision.

If you can live with the fact that the Knight Rolling Block is absolutely hideous, I'm sure it will serve you well.  People like the T/C Encore and it's hideous so the new Knight may become popular.  The Wolverine is about as easy to clean as a muzzleloader can be.

Each to his own I suppose.

i shoot triple seven out of my wolverine and i think its very hard to clean. i take my encore barrel off seal off what i don't want went with duct tape and stick the muzzle in a bucket and the water hose fits right in run hot water through it and then take it run 2 patches through and oil it... put it back after cleaning the receiver if its dirty with gun oil and i am done. knight quality is up there with t/c and Remington, browning, etc. also if the knight krb was offerd in blued and walnut it would be a very nice gun

777 is a pain to clean in any gun.  Find some 3F GOEX.
