Obstructed bore tests

Here's what happens to several makes of 30-06 rifles when a bullet is lodged in the bore ~3" from the throat and another round is fired, all barrels that didn't burst were bulged.

That's what I was thinking. 
I did notice all the other rifles had some gas/debris coming from the barrel about where the obstruction was. Do these other rifles have some sort of relief machined into the barrel so that they "vent" at a pressure point just short of the exploding point??

I really would not want to chance ANY of them when it comes down to corking up the bore.
To Me, this testing really reinforces the need for the hunter to pay special attention not to get mud or snow in the bore which is probably going to be a more likely cause.

 That's why you put a piece of electricians tape over the muzzle.  That won't help with a squib load however.
