Scope Problem?

  I have a Ultra 223 with a Mueller APV on top.   It stay at my brother's place.  He is part polar bear so his house if always very cold.  Last time I took the rifle out to shoot, in 95 degree weather,  I noticed that the scope appeared to fogged up. I just shot something else and came back to the 223 and it looked fine then.  Is this normal or should I see about sending it to Mueller.  The scope is about 4 months old or so.

Not a good sign .It should  not do that at all I suggest you send it to the factory for a warranty repair.

hello...a fogged up scope ain't good...send "er' in...i know lot's "o' guy's like different scope's...i really believe in sticking with solid brand name's & spend $200.00 or so...i like leupold...nikon...burris...it's money well spent...so to answer your question no...it's not normal...

Its condensation from the difference in temperature. My glasses have been doing that lately with this 100 degree weather we've been having ;D It's on the outside of the lens.

That's what is is.Fog on the outside.Mine all do that.My sho is air conditioned and when you go out the humidity  and hotter temps is what does it.I take mine out and let them set for a few and they're fine.They'll do it in thw winter too.Warm car cold temps.Slow

Fogged up on the outside is normal when there's a big temp change, just a matter of the way things are. ;) If it were fogged up on the inside, that would be different.

Yah, what they said.

I have breathed on mine while huffing and puffing through the woods and had my breath condense on the lens.  As long as the fogging is on the outside you are okay.  Some put shaving cream on their lens to avoid it,otherwise park the rifle outside before leaving.

  Thanks for the replies.  I feel better about it now.  I am new at this hunting/shooting game so I guess I just jump at the least thing.  Thank Heaven for this place.  Thanks again folks.
