GOT A NEW HANDI TODAY!!

just picked up a new handi today.(wife bought it for me) 2005 production, .22-250, laminated stocks w/ medallion. cant wait to get it to the range next weekend. i didnt really want a standard barrel but for the price we couldnt pass it up, it was way lower than any i have seen lately. it should be ok for varmints at the ranges i typically hunt. plus it one more frame for me to add on to.

I think you will be happy with the standard barrel. They are pretty heavy anyway. I bought a 223 a few monts ago, wish now I would have gotten a 22-250

Congratulations!  I just bought one that is identical to yours in .22-250 with the green laminated stock but mine has a different medallion in the buttstock...same location but says limited edition instead.  Actually, got it for $221 and they are supposed to be shipping another one on a store-to-store swap and I have dibs on it as well.  It is still sitting in the gun safe because I haven't had time to get it out  yet.

As an aside, these little rifles have gotten my undivided attention.  Yesterday, I bought one in .223 and am supposed to pick it up this week.

Let me know how your loads work out.

Nice looking Handi. I love that stock.

I am going to be sending in a receiver to H&R and plan on getting a set like that for mine.
