Shaving Lead !?
«

My 357 pistol pac with the 8in barrel is shaving lead a little when I shoot it. I am shooting at 100 yards and very happy with the results. I think I read some where that if your shooting lead tips that you need to close the gap closer than .006. Can anyone give me some info. on this? Thanks.

I had a 357 that was very accurate but shaved lead. I had my forcing cone reshaped and the problem resolved. I also set my gap at 004, but with dirty powders would cause cylinder drag after several rounds.
