I am thinking about pulling the scope off my 7-30 but don't see well enough to use the notch rear.

i use a tc peep on a 21inch 30-30 barrel. it,s plenty accurate for 100 yards or so, but gets pretty blurry in low light. i hunt in pretty thick swampy areas. the light is always shady. sometimes i use a 2 power bushnell that gathers light very well, but it's bulky.

I use one on my 18 .50cal BP. I like the williams WGRS, you can remove the small appeture  "sleeve" to reveal the much larger
"ghost" ring. With the fiber optic front sight it is pretty slick.

I have been throwing around the idea of putting a williams wgrs sight on my 357 max encore.  I really like the way the gun handle without the scope.  I used to think that I needed a scope get good accuracy.  Young and dumb I guess.

I saw someone mention an EABCO peep sight that was made onto a scope base.  It would be nice to be able to put a scope on for load development with out throwing off the sights.  The scope would probably still be close enough for load work.  Does anyone have any experience with this setup.  I think that I am going to have to get a front sight put on the barrel.
