Which airgun revolver for basement practice?
« on: August 28, 2007, 07:15:57 AM »
:) I never seem to be able to get to the range as often as I'd like.  I've been thinking about picking up an air pistol and a pellet trap to shoot in my basement.  I'm looking for something to simulate the handguns I already shoot (6 inch barreled DA revolvers).  I realize the revolver-type air guns aren't exactly "match accurate", but neither are my firearms (at least not with me shooting them).  What would be a good choice?  Power isn't an issue at all, as I have no interest in hunting with an air pistol at this time.  I do dry-fire my guns at home alot, but it's just not quite as satisfying as actually shooting.  Any input is greatly appreciated!  Thanks,

Dan

Dan,

Try a Crosman 357 revolver.
I have one with a six inch barrel. There are a couple of simple mods you can do to it to improve accuracy. I don't care for the grips they come with these days, so I made a new set for mine out of some old walnut scraps.
Double action trigger is kinda long, but single action is nice.
Other guns may cost more, but they won't shoot much better.
