Hi folks. I have been following this site for quite a while and this will be my first topic so please bear with me.
I have one of the Puma .357 mag rifles with the 16 inch barrel which I really love except for two things. My old
eyes have a real problem with the sights late in the afternoon which prevents me from hunting with it. I would
really like to take a whitetail with it. The other thing that I am not happy with is that it has the large loop
lever. I would really prefer the standard lever.
Anything anyone can tell me that can help me correct the above including sources for the necessary parts
will be appreciated.

Last Sunday Big 5 had Marlins on sale for $ 339.00 + tax . Bought a .45 LC Marlin . To add to my collection of lever action rifles .
Do you reload ? If not , I would suggest .44 Mag , even though the little rifle has a fair amount of recoil . Get a slip on recoil pad .
If you reload , a stout .45 LC should work for a brush gun .
Or , for more $$$ , step up to a Marlin .45-70 . All the power you need for North America .
Or , think about a peep sight for the Puma ?
