H&R Ultra Hunter Rifle .25-06 26" Laminate
« on: September 01, 2007, 05:44:43 AM »
Is $200.00 a good price on this with scope mount and rings? Looks to be like new with very few rounds down the pipe. Are the accurate?

thanks

That's not bad for an ultra.
Most of the 25-06s are accurate.

The 25-06 and the .280 Remington H&R 26" (Ultra) barrels are among the best long range barrels that H&R/NEF make. They are also the unsung heros of the H&R lineup, capable of being a true all around gun for anywhere in the lower 48 and a bit beyond. That price is not bad for an Ultra, many have been bought and sold for more. Is it an ejector or an extractor model?....<><....:)

Well there you go, save about $80.00 AND get a set of rings. That's a $100.00 savings in anyone's book, most likely more $$....<><....:)

Buy it!  :o
The barrel alone will bring $110-$120 shipped in this forums classifieds section. Receiver will clear you $75 and the stocks will clear ya about $80-$90. Looks like a good deal to me.

Well, the bonehead that is selling it just called and said it was a 22-250 and not a 25-06. He sold the 25.06 last week.

Still worth it?

I have seen the Ultras in all my shops anywhere from $250 to $295. I say it was a heck of a deal.

Sorry you missed out on it. Keep looking, you will find another. Maybe not at $200 but you will find one.
