New NEF in .204
« on: September 01, 2007, 01:27:40 PM »
Just picked up NEF in .204 ruger.  I was pleasantly surprised with the trigger.  Not quite as light as I would have liked, but lighter by a significant margin than the two newest Remingtons I bought last year.

It is a plain looking little rifle, but there was just something about it that said LOUDLY "Take me home!"

What do you think I can expect from this little gun?  It doesn't have the laminated wood stocks, but does have the heavy barrel.  It's got a good feel to it and surprising heft although not real heavy.

I will probably use it for some paper and then the occasional backyard varmint.  No groundhogs, prairie dogs, rock chucks, or ground squirrels in this part of the country, just the occasional crow, armadillo, and coyote.  I have a 60 acre backyard.

You will love it. The 204 is one of the most accuate in the Handi. I had one and killed many Groundhogs with it this summer. I shot many past 300 yards.    Dale
