715 8" SS Shot loose?
« on: September 01, 2007, 04:02:09 PM »
I Have a stainless 715 that I have owned about 17 years. I have shot untold numbers of hunting loads (158 gr. @1500 plus fps +). The old shooter is getting excessive end shake and loose sideways. I am just a shooter not expert. This revolver was used when I purchased it. Been a good'n and was very very accurate. But like some of the rest of us it has a lot of miles on the odometer. I am new to this forum. I'd like to ask for some info on where to send it for help it's like an old friend and I don't want to put it out to pasture.
Thanks,

GMB

Here is a name that a couple of fellow DW owners have used. His name is Van Schneider, Ph no. 419-626-3034. His shop is in Sandusky,Ohio. I personally haven't had anything done by him, but have seen his work, and talked with a few customers, and all were happy with his work.-gypsyman

The New York plant (before CZ) used to work on the older models.  One great point of CZ taking over the Norwich plant is they are still making parts and most parts for the older guns are interchangeable with the new.  I sold off a mod 15 after 8 years and regretted it as soon as I sold it.  I haven't sold one since, just get it fixed and shoot.  Good luck.
