Model 2
« on: September 02, 2007, 04:36:08 PM »
I have a Winchester Model 2 rifle (.22) that is in need of a new stock. What are my chances of finding one for it. The one that is on it now was made by hand many many years ago and wasn't that good even then. Any ideas would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

R U sure, about that Model number ? I've never heard of, or seen a reference to, any Winchester "Model 2".  AFAIK, Most Winchester's model numbers are 2 digits or more.

Rangr44,
You are correct, it does say Model Model 02 on the barrel. However by looking at pictures and additional documentation it appears that even though it says Model 02 on the barrel it might be also known as a Model 1902. You can probably see now why I am having some much trouble finding one.

Thanks,
Jim
