30-30 & Red Dot scope

I use open sights on my 30-30 to deer hunt with.  Its getting a little harder for me to see the sights, and I was thinking of putting a red dot on it.  Do any of you have a  recommendation on what scope, and any experiences with this set-up.  I rarely shoot past 75 yards, and want to keep my quick target acquisition.  Thanks

  I have one, a Bushnell Trophy, on a Marlin 336 model without the safety.  I like it very well and the posts I read on red dots before I bought this one all seemed to have good things to say about it.  I really don't like the look of a scope on a lever gun but the red dot isn't such a bad thing.  Doesn't really mess up the lines of these fine guns.

Have you given fibre-optic front & rear sights, or F-O front w/peep rear, a look ?  They work pretty good, even with my 65-year-old eyes.
The best part, for me, is that - If the sights don't light up, then it's not legal shooting time.

 I have a Match Dot by Ultra Dot.It has four dot sizes and eleven light intensity settings.It is mounted on my Marlin 308 MX.The dot can be very fine to shoot target and dial in your gun or be big enough for fast shooting in the woods in about any lighting.
