ultra slug hunter

I just picked up a 20GA ultra slug hunter bbl has anyone had any trouble fitting a standard handi forearm one of these I have tried 2 different wood forearms and they fit very tight to the point where I can not put the screw in . Do the 20GA take another forearm or might it just need some fitting also now that I am thinking of it I should probably measure where the lug is welded on thanks for any info. Kurt

I thought the 10ga shotgun and 12ga slug barrels were the only ones that require a different forend, that said, even some forends need some modification to fits some rifle barrels, the forend studs aren't identically placed on all rifles, they apparently mis-position some of them when they weld them on. Flat sanding the flat side of the spacer should allow you to make it fit well if it's not too far out of spec, shimming if it's too short/loose.

When you order a 20ga USH from NEF it comes with a forend.

There ya go Kurt, give em a call and order the correct forend for it!! It's probably the same one the 10ga and 12ga USH barrels use.

With that being said I checked the radius and it does in fact take the other forearm even though the lug is the better part of 1/8" from center of the rest of the bbl I have. I got a frame in the factory now having a .357 fit also stimpy may need a 22hornet bbl so I guess I'll call and have the forearm added to the order just hope I can contain myself from adding another bbl now that I have to call them.
