"Another" Handy Tool To Have In The Shop
« on: September 05, 2007, 01:37:14 PM »

It's an European 12" x 30"  "Turnmaster", and it's powered with a 3hp 3 phase motor.  I don't have 3 phase power to my shop, so i power the lathe with a 7.5 hp rotary phase converter...

Every once in a while it comes in pretty handy...

Sure looks like a work horse. Looks like it was made with the machinest in mind.  Dale

With that PTO chucked in there, it looks like you could run a haybaler in your shop. I like it.

Actually, i know where there's an "excellent" deal on a decked out Van Norman mill, and i could easily get it in trade for sawing logs for the guy....  I just haven't decided if i want it or not??

Van Norman mills are VERY heavily built and every bit as good as a Bridgeport...
