« on: September 06, 2007, 01:39:32 PM »
This is for anyone that collects, traps and knifes
This auction is a benefit auction for MTA. As many of you know Humane Society of the United States has targeted Michigan as one of their top priorities due to their recent win on the Dove hunt. We need to build a war chest and be ready for their next assault.
Auctioning:
Serial number #6 Michigan Trappers Association Commemorative trap & knife set.
For those of you who have not seen these they are really nice.
The trap is a #3 Sleepy Creek black oxide coated with a laser cut polished stainless steel pan.
The knife is made by Rapid River Knifeworks in our beautiful Upper Peninsula. It's a stag handle with the MTA 50th Anniversary logo laser etched on the blade, serial number etched on the reverse side of the blade, AND they come with a leather sheath with Michigan Trappers Association etched on the front.

Minimum bid is $200
Post your bids below. Winning bidder will be contacted with information on where to send the money.
Shipping cost will be $10 in the lower 48. Anywhere outside of that (international included) will pay actual shipping costs.

Auction will run until Tuesday, September 11th at 9:00 PM- Eastern Standard Time.

Thank You, STANLEY

I just moved from Michigan about 2 years ago it amazed me that we lost the dove hunt, Michigan was always the sportsman paradise to me growing up there and all. I think instead  of defending you should go offensive find a grief against the humane society and sue or try to pass a bill saying its anti American to take away your constitutional rights seems to me i remember 40 or so years of defense..and it s only lost ground

I emailed Levin a bit ago why should he be against trapping? but he is
