Encore Range Results
« on: September 07, 2007, 05:04:37 PM »
I took the 45cal muzzle loader out since seasons in 20 days and tried a new bullet and powder combo.. the t/c loved it. i was shooting 100 grains of triple 7 and a 195 grain powerbelt areo tip. it was shooting the same hole at 100 yards. i am still planning on tring a higher grain like 295 for hog in the new plantum from powerbelt. i get some pics up of the t/c soon

i was told there was expansion problems so i took a peice of ply wood and stapled a pillow to the back of it and shot it expanded real well.

Give prbullet's LBT hardcast a try, They are sometimes tough to load, I put some saliva on the sabot, but they are accurate and deadly.

I meant for... "higher grain bullet for hog." Powerbelts are very soft and expand too much for my taste.
