You mean like little tiny Limbsaver doughnut things to put on bullets before you fire 'em? That could be like hunting with Elmer Fudd! Your bullets could ricochet down thru the woods until it hit what you were aiming at.

Someone slipped a 2-1/2" length of hydraulic hose tightly over the end of the barrel and wrapped it with 1/8" soldering wire. Shooting groups and cutting the wire until he thought he had the best group.

Alas this arrangement works only with one load, like all the rest of the barrel tuners.
