For those in doubt or who bash Ruger's customer service
« on: September 09, 2007, 06:16:24 AM »
This gun looked like it hung from one of those "Just Married" car bumpers with pitting and scratches. Here is a before and after. $50 and 5 weeks later.

Never doubt Ruger's customer service.

I agree. I only had to send one Ruger in for service, and they fixed it adn replaced stuff that I didn't even ask for. All for free! I've always been a Ruger fan, and always will be.

I had a 45/45ACP single action.  It wasn't accurate enough for me and the barrel was corroded by military ammo. (my fault)   I received the pistol back with a new barrel, a target shot at 15 yards (I think) and no charge.  Ruger  is beyond belief when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Ruger service is outstanding.

MBoth my hunting buddy and myself bought used Ruger .357 Mag revolvers.  His was an older model that needed the safety upgrade and a new hammer spring.  He sent it in, they fixed it quickly and sent it back, no charge.  Mine had a bent basepin whigh they replaced for free and sent back, again no charge.  And Ruger paid the return shipping in both cases.

I bought a used Security-Six stainless in .357, and the first time I had it at the range (I was shooting .38SPL +P ammo) the barrel broke inside of the frame. I think some previous owner put in a replacement barrel and over-tightened it, causing the barrel to break. My gunsmith sent it to Ruger for me to get a quote for fixing it, and it came back 4 weeks later with a completely new barrel, no charge, including shipping. Can't beat that!!
