Personally I am no fan of LEE products, sans their Collete neck sizer dies.
I have and have owned just about every press mentioned here. My being counter styles at a Gun store. I get "deals" on used stuff. This is how I get to try everything. I also get to see everything the rest of you return and have problems with. LEE tops the list by a WIDE margin, but it is also a good seller. So there is more out there in use so, you figure if its just a numbers thing. I feel its a lower quality product that will be fine for the occasional loader. (This press is different as its not made from junk "white metal".)
The best CS goes to RCBS/DILLON. These two companies are the antimony of what CS should be. As far as quality products, you wont go wrong with RCBS, DILLON, REDDING, FOSTER, or early Pacific presses. LYMAN is also good, but I have seen problems with there turret presses. hence the many upgrades and changes seen in the past ten -fifteen years with that press.
Personally I have a RCBS AMMO MASTER and DILLON 550 bolted to my bench.
I have personally used up three LEE hand primers. I graduated to a RAM PRINE. I mounted it in a LEE cheapo white-metal press. I used this for a couple years until I wore out the "frame" of the press. I had a second and that one is still going. I used the primer that was on a PACFIC press I had for a couple years too. it worked well enough, but was completely a prime by feel seat-er. A couple years back RCBS came out with there APS priming system. the RCBS rep gave me a bench model to try for a while and I fell hard for it!! You can adjust how far it seats and you still get the "feel" I like when seating a primer. He took it back and a short time later I got my own!! That's what I use now.
BUT this cast LEE press
SHOULD be as good as the others that it copies.
