I'm showing conflicting evidence if Jeff King is an MIT Engineer.

While the statement is technically correct, he received a BS in Electrical Engineering and Biology from MIT in 1974, he worked in their electronics department before completing med school and has been a clinical physician for 27 years.

He is "very well known" for the fact that he is discussing this, but does not appear to have a background in civil or structural engineering per all the people discrediting his theory..

There's a couple of other videos presented by him, labeled as a part one and part two also, you may want to view.

He claims in his opening remarks that he has an engineering and physics background with 8 years in electrical engineering. Moreover he intimates that it was a friend with a structural engineering and demolition background that got him into this study.  Not your average forum poster I would say.
What...? You think he's another dope...?

No, actually further research indicates that he is the lead person of a team of "experts" studying this.  I haven't determined exactly who they are so I don't know their credentials.

I was only saying that "Very well known MIT engineer" was a little misleading.

I don't know if you noticed yet, but the phrase "consider the source" is pretty big on my evaluation check list.

I would hope with all the contriversial information you post, the fact that someone is willing to objectively research credentials would be refreshing compared to the normal static you get.
