Which powder would you use for 100-120gr bullets. The sierra manual has info for rifles, but not for 15" pistol barrel. Looking for a good combination for the upcoming deer season

lymans 48 th edition doesn't show anything in the pistol section for a 250 or 250ai, i'm thinking that even if the twist is faster then 1-14 in your pistol barrel the bullet wouldn't gain enough rpms to stablize a 117 bullet ?... imr 4895 mite be middle ground to try..????? just a guess on my part

edit ... n't   in wouldn't,,,... sorry

Thanks . I'll look into that . I called the sierra reloading techs and they gave me a couple powders to try. The most important advice they gave me was that the 100-117 gr bullets may not expand with the velocity that a 15" bbl delivers. They suggested the 87-90 sp/hp bullets for deer.

Thanks , next time i will put these questions in the reloading forum.
