i told recently of a buddy's purchase of a Model 700 at an unbelieveable price. maybe.....just maybe there was a 'reason'. the safety was stiff on that rifle for a while, my buddy says. and now it won't release.
we replaced the trigger spring with a Wolff to cut down on the pull weight, and we re-set the trigger stop and sear engagement. otherwise it is as it was when he bought it.
any ideas? he had it down home to shoot it after recently having shot it on a few separate occassions. now it hangs up! he said it hangs up with the bolt removed, and with the barrel'd action taken out of the stock. i haven't seen the rifle yet since he called earlier today.
anybody have experience with such?
