WILD IMPORTS & CANNON-MANIA Questions
« on: September 19, 2007, 04:59:00 AM »
I have read most of the thread on Cannon-Mania and have had some follow-up issues trying to purchase 3 of his 69 cal. naval cannons. Any feedback on "WILD IMPORTS" and their cannons and service? Are there and more sellers of "complete" ready-to-fire naval cannons in the sub-$500 range?
I have had very good emails with Grey-Star Cannon Tech and their 1/3 scale barrel at $199 each looks like a great start, but the carriage is another thing. The carriage woodwork is no problem, but the ironwork would be,basiclly forming the curved trunnion strap to fit the barrel trunnion. Any ideas?
Thanks,Bill

Be very very specific with Grey-Star Cannon Tech about their liner.  They have an issue with seamless liners and proper breech plugs.  We have also had problems reported with Grey-Star Cannon Tech liners not being straight.  But to be fair, each time it has been reported they have made it right.
