Looking for .30-30 Contender carbine barrel
« on: September 24, 2007, 06:34:24 AM »
Does anybody have one a good, used .30-30 carbine barrel, or a good lead on one?  Years ago (before the Encore) I saw barrel extensions to make super 14 barrels legal on the carbines.  Does anybody know if they are legal if they are just attached with screws or setscrews?  If so, I could have one made for my .30-30 super 14.  It wouldn't be optimum, but will be at least as good as the pistol is, and that is good enough.

A muzzle brake or extension would be legal as long as it is permanently attached, you might try posting in the TC classified section for a barrel.

Bob,

Thanks for the information on the extension.  I have already advertised for a barrel and had one reply, but the barrel had already been sold.
