South Louisiana here, 19 miles from the end of the road. Nothing but marsh, the gulf of Mexico, shrimp and seafood!! If you watch Swamp People, the father and son hunters are from my town. Woohoo? hehe

Yeah my daddy helped work on the Fort during it`s construction! I was a mere baby and we lived in Leesville!
Many years later I spent two summers there going through R.O.T.C. training, We trained right with regular army and National Guard units.
Night training maneuvers were always a challenge! Feral hogs, snakes. etc., were always present to add to the misery of the heat, sand fleas, ticks, etc.!
If you wanted to give the U.S. an enema, Ft. Polk would be a good place to insert the nozzle!!
