pachmayr grip and hammer spring?
« on: September 27, 2007, 07:56:12 AM »
Just got my contender back from the factory where they replaced the guts of the frame.  For nothing but me shipping it to them!  That is great service!  Anyway they sent me a diagram/letter stating that some pachmayr grips do not have enough/proper clearance for the hammer spring and that can cause it to weaken.   They said that modifications could be done (on the grip) but that they would not do it and that I could be disqualified from competitions.  My only competition is getting close enough to pop that big ol' buck, so I am not worried  about that.  Is anybody familiar with this and just what do I need to do?

I have the old PAchmeyer grip and it did have to be modified to work on an easy open style frame. It takes fives minutes with a Dremel tool but I have no clue about the comp issue.

Once again, this is not allowed on a discussion forum.  Offers to sell or to buy have to move to a classified forum or go thru PM or Email.  Check the rules
