Very interesting.  Personally I wouldn't do it myself due to all the ones I've killed in my day at a range of a few feet with a .22 at the slaughterhouse, a margin of error of only an inch or so can cause a thoroughly ticked off pig.  I would use something a little bigger that would shock the pig long enough to get another bullet into it if it isn't killed with the first shot , but it looks like you are/have done your homework and I wish you luck.

     Shots on hogs are restricted to close range and brain shots only.  Not going to take on the grizzle plate until I obtain my .58 caliber Air Muzzleloader putting out around 768fpe!
