Got my 25-06 ULTRA in over the weekend, the barrel seems to be heavier than a standard
but it is not a bull. has the light colored lam. stock with checkering, it is a good looking rifle,
if it shoots like it looks, their will be a great reduction of yotes in TX this winter. has a
simmons scope on it that may have to go.
Guess i have the fever, that makes 17hmr, 243, 25-06 ultra,280, 450 barrel, in less than a year, and thinking seriously about a 223.
This is the funny part, leaving them all home Oct 4 to go Black powder elk hunting w/ a
TC Hawkin 50 cal. LIFE IS GOOD

Clean it completely...Flitz the barrel...polish the chamber...completely free float the barrel...and go shoot it...They are nice...and I love mine...Congrats

That's ok...

I will say...if your front rest makes you have to hunch over to shoot...raise it up by building a small platform for it and your rear bags...Sitting completely upright makes it a lot easier to shoot off the hinge area...and you need to have it up in the air more than a bolt gun to fully realize this...

Dito I have 6 handis and hunt with a bow or BP also. What unit are you hinting in? Depending on the unit you could bring afew handis and hunt varmits after you get your bull.

i will be in unit 48 about straight south of Cimmaron, have a buddy that lives there he says every thing is in shape for a good hunt.
