Spot em call in the troops and kill em.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

I've had the best luck hunting them in early morning like turkeys.Wind to your back and well hidden.I spray a bit of red fox urine in the air and call for about 10 minutes and then just wait for 1/2 hour - 45 minutes.I've killed a bunch this way.You have to keep your eyes open and pay attention.They will come out of nowhere and you have to be ready.

There are a couple of articles in my local gun club newsletter that are pretty enlightening.  They estimate 20-30k coyotes in NYS alone and reports of their predatious behavior is really eye-opening.  A lot of us knew how bad they have become, especially around humans and I ahve heard of two instances where they have treed hunters.

I have them come along and leave 'notes' (large droppings) for my dogs to go nutz over and when one of my dogs came into heat there were lots of 'notes' left behind.

Last year my neighbor trapped and killed a 65 lb yote.  I have knocked off about half a dozen and will continue whenenver I get the chance.  The literature I have read indicates that nearly 70% of all whitetail fawn predation is due to coyotes and black bear and there is a move afoot to introduce bounty legislation on coyotes.  Mikey.

  Mikey;
  Seems like that often happens when man plays with the predator/prey balance..LOL Perhaps that will all settle out soon. because I hear that feral hogs will soon be migrating into NY..

I hadn't heard about feral hogs migrating into NY.  If so, I hope it happens while I am still young enough to do some hog hunting.  The state will probably put a season on them like they did for coyotes.  They should consider coyotes (and crows) as varmints with no closed season.

We're blessed to be in one of less than a handfull of states with a season on coyotes.I caught a 70 + pound coyote 2 years ago and I personally have never seen a more aggressive coyote in my life.This coyote lunged and snapped at me like he wanted to rip my throat out.He probably did.That made me a bit uncomfortable.Just knowing that if I did meet up with this critter alone in the woods,it would be be a tough fight and one I'm not sure I could win.

Ironglow - you're right.  Woodchukhntr - I wish they would have an open season on yotes.

I have also read they have taken a terrible toll on turkey this year.  Apparently things are so tough on turkeys that the hens do not get together in the afternoon for their daily 'hen cluck' or what ever it is, and this seems to have had all ill effect on both reproduction and survivability.

I am always on the lookout for a coyote, and a good shot.  Mikey.
