good, quality scope mounts/rings
« on: October 04, 2007, 03:12:37 PM »
I need to scope 2 rifles soon.  One is a Remington 700 BDL in 30-06 and the other is a Remington 7 CDL in 7MM-08.  I have been using Warne bases and rings in the past, but the last two sets of bases I have bought have been machined off a little and the bases rock back and forth on the receivers.  I checked them with a caliper and there is about .003 of and inch difference from one end of the base to the other.  This is on 2 piece bases.  I am looking for suggestions for a good, quality, solid scope mount for these two rifles.  Any help is really appreciated!

I use Weaver and I've never had a failure or a problem.
