Are "shoot thru" openings really "shoot thru"?
« on: October 07, 2007, 02:11:47 PM »
My blind say's it has "shoot thru" windows!!!   They are referring to the thin camo covering that attaches to the inside of the blind with velcro.

I can see where you could shot through it with a gun and be OK but what about a bow?  Has anyone shot through one of the "shoot thru" window with a bow and done any good.....It seems to me that it would through an arrow way off????

Shoot thru mesh is pretty common.  Just be sure to use a fixed blade, not expandable.

Watched an episode of north american hunter the other night and mark keiser demonstrated this.  He used a fixed blade and an expandable.  You could see from the hole the expandable had stayed closed.  Just make sure you use something this pointed tip.  He was dead on target at 25 yards.
