I'm sure that some of you use these and get them from Midway as I do. I buy the 100 count boxes. There are always a bunch of slugs that are different--they have the cannalure slightly different, the exposed lead is a different color, and they have a tiny black spot on them. They mike the same(").  Always have wondered what gives--they shoot good.  Pat

  One can be TOO analytical about some things.  IF they shoot good I don't worry about looks. If you are shooting bench rest and NEED sub 1/2" groups then it's time to nit pick, but for minute of deer why bother worrying about it. Just get to KNOW how good you and the bullets work to harvest the deer.

Yup I've been dealing with them for at least 15 years longer than GBO has been around and they've only been a Sponsor for the last 3-4 years of that time. They are fine folks to deal with have excellent prices and charge only the ACTUAL shipping costs no extra for packaging and handling.

what cartridge are you shooting those 200 grains outta?  thought about trying them in my .357 Max..any thoughts?

spinafish:  I have used those slugs in my 38s and 357 magnums and they work very well, or at least they did for me.  I do not doubt they should work well in your 357 max.  We (me and a few buddies) used this slug in 357 magnums for 200 yd metallic silhouette work and they shot accurately enough to knock down the ram.  Mikey.

The Rem 200g RNSP .358" bullets are intended for the .35 Rem, that being said they do work wonderfully in the .357 Max and .360DW. I have never tried them in the .357 Mag. You'll notice that both Rem and Win bulk bullets are very very often not all the same, many have +/- 5g weight and the cann. is offset in about 10% of them.

Not pretty but they are my favorite bullet in my 358 Winchester, I push them to 2450 fps out of my BLR.

Yes I think you'll find them a bit long for the Ruger but you might manage it. The real problem lies in the cannelure being in the wrong place to crimp them tightly as you'd need to so they don't jump crimp and lock up the revolver. If you can over come that you might make them work assuming you can find safe load data. When you seat deeply as you must with such long bullets you decrease case capacity and raise pressures.

The 200 grain Remington CLs make great 35 Remington bullets. I use them for my Model 141. They also make good bullets in the 35 Whelen if you load them to around 2200 FPS or a bit more. This makes for a good reduced recoil load in a Whelen and still gives great performance on whitetail sized game. My Remington Model 700 shoots these 200 grain bullets into tidy little groups.

I'm back. I wasn't complaining about the rem 200gr rncl, I was just wondering about the differences. They shoot great out of my 358jdj at 2,300fps. Deer just don't have a chance. I will check out MidSouth.  Pat
