>>>UPDATE<<<<
Ok well i finally received my boys rossi 7.62x39 and it was given to him as a early birthday present , well we strapped on a bushnell 3x9x40 and i bought some dies and started by shooting a box of Winchester fmj through it to start breaking it in. Well breaking the barrel in with the fmj and the rifle was holding at a 1 1/2" groups at 100yds pretty nice just fire forming the brass . broke the rifle in with about 40 rounds like i do my bench rest rifles , and loaded up some 125grn nosler ballistic tips and the ballistic has a long throat for the 125's at least (i can touch lands with 150's) loading with H-322 25 grns and i shot the other day shooting 5 shot groups with a agg of 7/8 ". Loaded up again pushing the bullet as far as i could go safely and shot 4 5 shot strings and the worst was just under .873 " the best was .527" now i know some wont believe but this rossi is a house of fire , i was really wondering if getting it was a good idea but its a sweet little rifle .
So make sure to break it in right , it took 40 rounds to get it smooth it was rough inside sweets 7.62 and JB bore paste and scrub scrub scrub , but it was worth the dying elbow to do it .
if anyone has one the bore diameter of this one is a .308 so if you need some measurement of what i have let me know i will pass them on
