It's been very nice.
« on: October 15, 2007, 06:16:36 AM »
:( For reasons I explained to Bil I have requested my membership be canceled. Life has over taken my need to do this right now. i need ticker surgery not serious but need and troule with my sons has put a damper on my spirit and I need to do what is needed to get back in my groove. Plus my insights on the subjects posted is running thin. So God Bless you all and keep your powder dry.  Jess

Sometimes friends are more than friends they are family this may be the place you need there are great people that gather here. I know from being without people to talk to thing may seam bigger than they are. LIFE IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE (1) GOD (2) Family (3) everything else. God be with you in.

Genlemen thanks for the kind words, handi243 you maybe right. Needing someone to talk to may be more important than i know. If you'll keep me I'll stick around and just stay silent for a little bit. Jess

Man oh man,
Your kids, your spirit and your heart are always serious. Hang in there and give it some time to work out.
Just before Christmas 2005 my back started hurting and I had 3 bad episodes with it over then next few months. March 1st, 2006 I went to the
emergency room with it.
I thought "Here we go again this hurts like hell and I have to fill out a bunch of papers". Instead the girl asked only for my name and SSN.
Then she took me in to check my blood pressure. When they could not get a good reading I was escorted to a small room for a nurse to check me out. In 5 minutes there were 3 nurses and a doctor and still no good BP reading. Then it started getting crowded and they took a drug ODed girl out of of the big emergency room and moved me in there. By the time my wife got there there were 8 nurses and 3 doctors in my room and I was turning gray. They had finally got my BP and it was terrible. They gave me nitroglycerin, morphine and I have no idea what else. They said they needed to get me into the OR and I signed a release though in a morphine stupor as they pulled my clothes off. However I did realize it was serious when they hung a defibrillator on the end of the gurney and started down the hall to the OR.
The worst part was in my room after it was all over with. My wife opened the paper sack they had put my clothes in and pulled out a pink bra, I would guess about a 34B. I didn't have a clue to that one and I pleaded the 5th. It later turned out that they got the drug ODed girl's clothes bag and mine and put both of them in my ICU room.

SO: how you doing by now?

Did the wife understand once the  truth came out??

Dad told me about loaning the car to a buddy yrs ago and Mom found a used rubber in the back floor.
Guess that didn't go over very well.

Hope you're doing better, both of you.  Jess, hang in there man.

;D I thought I'd give an update. My son's finally started to act like adults after dad landed with feet. Seemed to have found themselves after my tirade. 28 and 30 and acted like 12 and 13 sometimes u with had puppies and not kids!! :D :D :D As for my medical situation it's not as if i'll kick the bucket any time soon,  my heart trate nevers gets past 60 and most time it's in the 40's and i just stayed tuckered out all the time and it's is getting old very quickly. Dealing with the VA is enough of a pain because it moves so darn slowly. The doc who's doing my surgery (pacemaker) is one of the doc's my dayghter works for. I know it's not serious but I have been cut enough and just want my energy back again. As for me leaving the site I won't it's really nice to have a group of men to talk to evn though we may never meet. Thanks to all of you who showed concern.  God Bless, Jess

Jess...That pacemaker might really help you with your energy...My mom is 82, she had one installed about 8 years ago and I will tell you it made a huge difference, she would not be here today without one...Her energy level is up high enough that she swims 4-5 mornings a week...I really hope you have as much success with yours as she has had with her's...Good Luck, I'll keep you in my prayers...

That Pacemaker  will do you good., I GOT ONE my Heart rate would not go very 60 too and at night it would stop beating for up to 20 seconds. It took about 2hrs I think ( they had me so doped up) they never really put me out. The only  side effect was it felt like I got kicked by a mule (I think they kick harder then horses). Your arm movement will be limited during the healing process but  other then that your good to go. My doctor told me to avoid  heavy recoiling rifles (I think he;s a lib any way)  I use a past recoil protector you'll be fine. I'am know expert by a long shot  but if you want to talk  pm me and I'll shoot you a phone number.

:D  Guys I got good news on Thursday, It's not my heart. all the tests have been negative and prefect in fact. I had an EEG Friday an the reason has been discovered. i have have 7 or 8 concussions from sports and other knocks on the head and that looks to be the problem. They tell me when I was a lad I had a TBI traumatic brain injury for a bad one I had my senior year in my final football game. So it's not serious just means my big calibers will have a muzzle break on them. Now I know why I don't like my head to be jolted. At least I can relax and get back with it and "in the groove" and not worry about my heart.I must admit I am Handi less again. I sold the 308 and traded for a Custom 98 in 243. I shot it this am and it will drive tacks. Honest 3/4 to 1 inch groups all day long. Sorry Partsman they wanted the wood stock too. I owe you one.  Jess

Don't think i would go the muzzlebreak route , was shooting a buddies 223 contender with one and the concushion was so BAD that i could feel it in my chest and it would rattle my teeth , may not be good to shake the brain that much .  :o :o ???

You will not need a muzzle break if the rifle is heavy enough so just give your arms a work out.
