encore ejector?
« on: October 16, 2007, 03:12:22 PM »
I was just curious if there were ejectors available for the encore i recently acquired a T/C pro hunter in 308win and with cold weather and fat fingers it's a real bugger getting the cases out not to mention loss of any hope for a follow up shot. thanks ,superdown

not sure about ejectors. It gets faster and easier once you get more practice... sit and open and close the action, putting the cartridge in and taking it out, good for learning to locate and load the weapon keeping eye on the game..
best done with just the empty brass.
Hope that Helps

Ejectors used to be a T/C option.  Then there was a fire in their plant which destroyed the tooling and so they're no longer available.

I may be wrong (and often are) but I think they were only Contender.  I recall the fire pre-dating the Encore.

I often wondered why none of the aftermarket guys didn't fill the ejector niche.  Apparently the market wouldn't support it.

I had one in a 45/70 contender barrel once. Hated it! Had to pick up a lot of brass after it throws it over your shoulder. It would be nice in the field though.
