2.75" slugs in a 3" chamber..
« on: October 18, 2007, 01:33:47 AM »

I have a Tracker II   12 ga 3".. I want to try Brenneke classics or similar, but might have to use 2.75" shells..

Is the .25" difference likely to affect accuracy ?

They work great in my Tracker I's and other brand shotguns (smoothbores) with 3" chambers....<><....:)

P.S. - the 2 3/4" slugs give me better accuracy than the 3" slugs....

I've found 2.75 inch slugs to be more accurate most of the time. All the slug guns we have are 3" chambered and accuracy seems to not suffer but be enhanced by using the shorter slugs.
