magnaport will help reduce muzzle flip but not do much as far as reward thrust (recoil)....a good break on the other hand will reduce both....how much really depends on caliber...seems like more is better which only makes sense (the more recoil you have the more you're going to notice how much less with a break).. do a search there are several good post on here as well as at specialty pistols
