209x50 loads for pistol

I posted this in the t/c pistol area and thought that I might see more reply on the topic here

I have just purchased a 15" 209x50 pistol barrel and want to know what loads you have tried in them and what produced the best accuracy.

Two Bears, I had one for about two years, I was shooting 2 of the 50 gr. triple 7 pellets with a 295 gr. power belt bullet. I took one deeer at a little over 60 yards with it. Worked like a charm and my accuracy was very good.

Hello two Bears...

I bought one last spring and used it to take a black bear in Central Alaska. I stalked the bear from a tidal salt marsh...and shot the bear at 35 yards. My load was two 50 grain pellets behind a 295 grain Power Belt bullet. The bullet entered its neck and exited the ribs behind the offside shoulder blowing a 3" diameter hole. *I'm not sure the bullet held together like it should have...but the bullet wound was so large the bear was spraying blood on both sides of the creek bottom it ran through. The Power Belt bullet appears to be soft lead...plated with copper.

I love my pistol!
