RCBS 7.62-130
« on: October 25, 2007, 03:11:02 PM »
RCBS says this mold is for the 7.62x39 and has a as cast dia. of .310 /.311.  Just wondering if anyone has tried this in a standard .308 bore fire arm. ??

I have several Lee molds that cast a bit OVER the stated size. I run them thru the sizer and they work fine. That 130 grain bullet should work fine in any .30 caliber gun. YOU just have to find the correct load.  Plus the fact that an alloy with more pure lead USUALLY casts a smaller diameter bullet.

Thanks, I wasn't really concerned about the.310 dia as I size my bullets with a  .310 die for my contender. I'm just concerned about  none of the nose being bore riding because I need about 2 MOA for what I want to use it for.
