What questions for gunsmith

What are the questions you ask a gunsmith to determine whether he's competent to work on your 1911? Thanks.

first thing id ask is for at least 10 refernces that you could call. Alot of smiths can talk the talk but few can walk the walk..

How fast he can run.  Whether he has all ten fingers.  How many wives is he still payin' acrimony to.  How many 1911s he has worked on.  How many of those customers have come back.  Where his children live.  Whether his wife has access to poison, guns or knives and, whether the revolver he is working on is a 1911.  Just thinkin'.  Mikey.
