Does anyone know FIRSTHAND if Brownell's AlumaHyde II will resist tetrachloroethylene in Brakleen/Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber/other chlorinated brake cleaners?
I am lazy and use a lot of brake cleaners.

Why not just call Brownells and ask? Their TechLine is free and they would know.. Just for your info, there is precious little that is unaffected by brake/carb cleaner.

Hah!
Good point about the brake cleaner. The stuff will dissolve anything.

For anyone who cares, AlumaHyde II does NOT resist chlorinated cleaners
Thanks for the suggestion, gunnut.
Looks like I will go back to my parkerizing plan.
