What is your predict?
« on: October 29, 2007, 07:55:40 AM »
I am hoping that cold (30 degree) and snowy weather during opening day of gun deer season. But I think we might get mild weather. I would like to hear some of your predict, so what is your predict?

Ya must be talkin' the traditional 9 day season..

Seems back in the 80's and 90's we could count on mid teens at night and maybe 40's durring the day. Sometimes snow on the ground, sometimes not. But as of late, it has been on the warm side, 50-60's for highs in the daytime. Years back I normaly froze my axx off, but now I tend to sweat more than anything.

Prediction for this years opener: Sunny and 82  .....  ;D

My daughter's first hunt will be this year.  All those stories of me freezing with candy bars freezing rock solid in my lunch bag seem far fetched with the weather we usually have in November now.  I did have to walk uphill both ways to school though.
I really don't mind the mild weather, as long as it isn't hot.  20's at daylight and low 40's during the day sounds perfect to me.
Of course snow helps alot visually but that's been pretty iffy lately too.

I'll predict a little cooler than 379 and guess 40's, drizzly rain, kindof misearable.  Hope I'm mostly wrong, though.

Highs in the 30's and snow cover.

1982 it was darn cold, we slept in a bus and froze our axxes off. This year I hope for 6" of snow on a warn spell with drizzle and some fog. 40 degrees. his has been my best hunting cause they move in drizzle where I hunt near the Flambeau River State Forest.

Getting the itch here and curious to see what the Vegas oddsmakers installed the over/under for temps on the opener.....er.....I mean what the weatherman is predicting (same thang LOL)...so I picked a city smack dab in the middle of the state - Marshfield, and looked at the 10 day forcast. This far out calls for a high of 41 and low of 32. We'll see if they can cover... ;D
