1996 suzuki 4wd quadrunner

 Ok, who knows what about a 96 quadrunner?   What I'd like to know is......are the engine,trans and diff..all a common sump, using 10w 40?
 2.is there an oil filter?
 3.why are there two drain plugs under neath?(if its all one sump).
 4. The only place I See to add oil is at the rear by the diff. On the side of the engine, it says, 3500ml,which would be about 3 and three quarter quarts.
 I'm totally lost here, I just bought this machine and have no manual for it.
 Any help is appreciated.   ???

Sounds like you are asking about a King Quad 300 4x4. If so, I'll offer what I know.

1. Yes, the engine, tranny and rear differential all share the same oil. 10W-40 is recommended.
2. Oil filter is found in the right side of the engine case. Look low on the engine case in front of the rear tire for the sight glass to check oil level. The filter is located at about the 10 or 11 o'clock position in relation to this sight glass. There are three smaller bolts in a triangular pattern surrounding a larger bolt. The three small bolts hold the cover in place. Remove the small bolts and then remove the oil filter cover. Not necessary to remove the large bolt. Pay attention to the positioning of the filter when you remove the cover. It makes a difference which way you install the new filter.
3. I'm going by memory here, but I only recall one drain plug under the rear of the machine. I believe it takes a 14mm socket.
4. You are absolutely correct, gooser. That's where you add the oil. According to the manual, it should be filled until it is not quite to the top of the sight glass with the machine parked on a level surface. I have always just put an even 4 quarts of oil in it. The sight glass will now be full to the top, but this has never posed a problem for me.

 ;D Thank you Shaylex, I changed my oil and spark plug, it runs a lot better now.But it is a 250 4x4. I called up the local Suzuki dealer and talked with a guy in service,they helped me out alot. I really appreciate the help.  ;)

First thing I do when I get a new toy is to supply myself with as much info as possible.  For 4 wheelers that means acquiring all pertinent service manuals.  Yes some are expensive but will still save you hundreds of dollars and many hours of time and aggravation in the future.  If you're interested try the link below for 1 source.

 old syko, I tried to get a service manual at or local suzuki dealer but they were out of the one I need. I'll check back with them next week to see if it's in. They sell the clymer manual for 31.00.
 I am presently downloading info from mikuni carb. I need to mainly fine tune the carb, then I should be all set as far as I know.

Just a word of warning as it doesn't matter to me what you get or where you get it.  There is a major difference in factory and aftermarket manuals.  It seems a lot gets lost in translation.  Good luck with the Zuki.

 ;D it's up and running just fine.I adjusted the carb and it fires right up and runs good.I have a plowed field behind my house that I tested the 4 wheel drive in and also the low and super low ranges. I am still going to get a manual yet though as I'm a mechanic by trade,and I am a little curious about some things with it.
