Burris posi-loc feature worth $26 or not?
« on: November 01, 2007, 04:45:17 AM »
Is the posi-loc feature worth $26 or not?  It will be on a 7-08 and a 6.5 X 284 eventually.

For only $26 why not try one for yourself?

I have a scope that has the posi loc on it as I purchased the scope used. It makes adjusting the scope take a bit longer.

I have both types of scopes from Burris.  Posi-lock and standard.  For heavier recoiling guns I prefer posi-lock for my own peace of mind when hunting.

It should have more opportunity to keep things from moving on a break open & slam close type rifle.

If you can, get the Burris dual dovetail bases and the D D signature medium rings with the Posi-lock scope. I bought the T/C duo ring and base set, and while it worked with the Leupold, the Burris wouldn't fit in it without modification, which I an unwilling to do. I'll save that set for my next barrel.
