The trick with camo is to match the background of where you're hunting at the time.
Out here in CO in the dry grass n weeds, sage etc. A straw tan would be great. Not many outfits have been made that I've found with the colors we need in this stuff.
I resorted to using a tan Carhart canvas jacket daubbed all over in splotch's with dark walnut wood stain. I've been told it blends in to be hard to see when I'm on stand.
To be honest, it very much looks like some dirty mechanic's work jacket covered with grease even when freshly washed. It was handy as I'd been wearing it several yrs and needed a new coat. About the time I needed that color camo H/D came along with new coats for less than half price. It's been used on over 80 coyote kills so far.
Need to find a pair of pants to match, and face mask/cap.
