Rem 700 ADL barreled action on Rem 700 XCR stock

A question for the experts.  I was about to purchase a Remington 700 L/A XCR stock and a floor plate with components for my 700 L/A ADL.  I was recently told the XCR stocks will not fit on ADL model rifles.  I realize the difference in magazine types.  Aside from that, can anyone confirm or deny this information?  Thanks in advance.

In addition to the bottom metal, you'll need a BDL magazine. They're shorter than an ADL one. Or, you can cut the ADL one down to the right length with a grinder or belt sander. Otherwise it'll work fine.
