Which rifle is the best of the three?

Which of these 3 rimfire rifles is the best overall ?

Winchester M9417 Traditional .17 H.M.R., 20 1/2" barrel, straight stock, New in Box.  $499.95

Winchester M9422M XTR .22 WMR, 20”, beautiful wood, 98%.  $450.00 

or a Henry Golden boy rifle?

In additiion to my several Marlin 39's, I have a Winchester 9422 in 22LR, and a Winchester 9422M, which is a 22 magnum.

The prices on the Winchesters are dirt cheap, considering what those rifles would cost in southern California.

For my purposes, which in a large part is pride of ownership, a Henry wouldn't fit into my plans...!

I have a CZ452 chambered in 17 HMR.

Ever shoot one or handle one? I have one in a 22 mag and I am proud of it. It shoots as accurate as any bolt rifle I ever shot and better than some and it has nice walnut wood on it. A smooth action smooter then some other levers and the company has one of the best customer service depts in the industry most of the time the President of the company takes care of your request. Would you own a Ruger 10/22? That guns receiver  is an Alloy too and has plastic parts. How about a Marlin would you own one of them they have a alloy receiver and trigger guard. How about a pistol like a glock lots of plastic in that.

This BS that Henry is an inferior rifle is just that BS.

   While "pride of ownership" doesn't faze me much ( my guns are for "hunting")....accuracy and function does .
 
   Those Henrys sure have a smooth operating action (smoother than my Marlin levers), and seem to shoot more in league with bolt guns than levers..

  I have a CZ and Anschutz also..but they are still "hunting" guns..

I am not crazy about the Golden Boy Henry's but I really have enjoyed my standard Henry. The stock on the golden boy has a lot more drop than the standard. I have owned a couple Winchester lever actions and I have sold all of them. It may just be personal preference, but I like the Marlins and Henrys better.

I can understand pride of what guns anyone owns that is why we own them personal preference. I do however get my dander up a bit when folks infer that Henrys are inferior to other guns. They are not. In this day and age the days of getting guns made from solid billet steel is long gone and many guns these days are made of alloys and some have plastic parts. Lots of guns these days have cheap plastic fiber optic sights compared to metal sights. Not knocking fiber optics I like them in the front with a rear peep sight arangement. So plastic and alloys are on a lot of differnent guns these days yet it seems like Henry is the favorite whipping boy of some still. I do have to say though that Henry is getting a large following after folks have bought them and shot them which proves what I have been saying for several years on these forums, they are nice guns and extremely accurate. I have been known in the past to trade off guns to buy others though now I have a cabinet of guns I am pretty happy with so I doubt they will ever get traded. Amoung them is my Henry I would never trade or sell it. It is a keeper.

I don't own a Henry but am very seriously considering one in .22 WMR. It will certainly not be a Goldenboy. When I first saw that thing I thought "good lord, how ugly can a gun be made?"  Henry answered that question when they brought out the BigBoy! ;D

The best gun for the money IMHO of that lot would be the Winchester 22mag.
I have only had 2 experiences with the Henry, one was bad the other rifle would group 5" at 50 yards
